About Pure Artisan
Pure Artisan is a family-owned business and was founded to
share the passion for high quality, handcrafted items made
around the world. We support our skillful artisans by
marketing their products, which are an expression of their
soul and talent.
Our mission is to support the low-income artisans in
developing countries by selling their products and assuring
they are receive fair wages and good working conditions. Our
mission is also to market environmentally safe and friendly
products, individually hand crafted using the purest natural
materials.
We have had the opportunity to learn about the fair trade
movement and find their principles very fair. All of our
suppliers follow fair trade principles and guidelines in the
production and pricing of their jewelry and other gift items.
Several of them are friends of us. Several are members of
the International Federation for Alternative Trade. All the
products you buy from Pure Artisan follow fair trade
guidelines - the prices are fair to the consumer, and fair to
the producing artisan. But most of all, they are fun,
meticulously handcrafted and unusual designs!
We are also very proud to be an environmentally safe
business. All our products are handcrafted using natural and
non-toxic materials.
